SEVEN BIBLES

I guess I was in SSS3 preparing for WAEC and looking forward to taking the JAMB exams that would qualify me for higher institution. On one of those days, I was talking with some people who happened to be brethren about how excited I was to be going to the higher institution soon and how I would love to serve God there. 

One of them,  a brother,  said to me, "Joy, even if you carry seven big bibles and go to the university, you go backslide. University is a different world and the things happening there ehn... " He went on and on talking about how it was impossible to go to University and come back a Christian. It was probably because he had seen a few with such experiences. Still as I look back, it is funny that the brother who was saying all of that had never been to the university before. He probably had never even seen the walls. All he had with him were hearsays which he uttered with so much conviction. 

Even hearsays are capable of igniting the fire of doubts and fears, especially on an ignorant mind. 
Did I fear? Yes I did. But I prayed to God to help me too. I only had my small Bible I was reading. I didn't even have up to seven bibles for crying out loud.  Lol. 
So does it mean that all the Youth Weeks including the one of '11TH HOUR REVIVAL' were a waste of time? Or were they only meant to sustain us for the meantime and not to prepare for the long run? 

When it was time to go to the university, I still had only one bible. I got into school fellowship and it was one of the best experiences of my life. There were pressures in school but I could pull through by God's grace and the constant fellowship with brethren. They were awesome. 

I graduated to the glory of God
Amidst the many really tempting and trying times 
Still with one bible so many
Salvation secured, even better understood
I was definitely not a dullard in my class

So when they tell you it's impossible, tell them 'I am possible' because with God all things are possible. 
When they say you don't have seven bibles, tell them that you carry the word of God inside your heart with full chest.
After all, 'Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.' Psalm 119:9‭-‬11 

It never said it is by carrying more than one bible. If you have more than one, still great. 
One bible is enough as long as you know it's contents and abide by it
And when they say, make we wait na, shebi after year one, year two, we go know how far. Tell them say, I don graduate finish with Jesus intact. 
No grace carry us reach here, no be okada man.

Errmmm, if your bible has suffered wear and tear, please change it. If it is one bible, let it be looking fine like you. ☺

AMAKA LIVED MY DREAM!

Growing up as a child was not much of a fun to me; I mean my parents were strict disciplinarians who would not let me mingle with other children. They also were not always around for me to talk with. So I just carved a place for myself in my own world. There in my world, I was an orator in a big TV station, speaking to a large number of crowds in an accent so clear, flowing and beautiful.
