Dear Christian

 Dear Christian,

How have you fared without the Lord so far?

How have you managed without fellowship with Him? I mean how have you coped without study of the word?

How have you trolled on this road without prayers?

How do you manage the world's affairs without Him in your heart?

What runs through your mind? What things do you desire? What sparks up your imagination?

What excites your body and satisfies its cravings?

How do you cope with the torrent that rages within your flesh? The lust that calls for satisfaction?

How have you fared since you backslided? Since you blamed the Lord for all the ills in your life and left Him seeking other options? Seeking freedom?

How free have you been?

What are those chains you've got round your neck, your feet, your heart, your hands?

Boredom, depression, anger, bitterness, lust, unforgiveness, depravity, cloned freedom, emptiness...

Dear Christian,

Where are you now? Like right now. Check. Tell the truth.

Are you not in the very vomit you had abandoned for the Lord.

Now you are back to the vomit which is now even in a worse state.

You stink dearly beloved. You need help and you know it.

Are you scared? Are you proud? Are you angry? Do you feel too worthless? Unworthy for His mercy and forgiveness? Do you feel too ashamed to continue the race? Do you feel helpless and hopeless? Does the cross make you sad and weary?

Come home! Come back home!

Are your legs too heavy? Crawl,

Hands too heavy? Still trudge on

Eyes too weary? Don't stop moving

Life too messy? Drag on

Cry if you may but cry out to Him

He'll give strength

Don't stop moving back to the cross where you once were saved.

Help you'll receive from the God of your salvation and redemption

His yoke is easy (not 'easier' because it cannot be compared with the yoke of the world)

His burden is light

He's the Author and Finisher of your faith

It's not the end yet!

He'll finish it, He'll perfect it
