Blind Capture
Blind Capture
He’s blind but wild with
imaginations
His mind captures beauty and
emotions
He draws them as they come to
mind
Beautiful or ugly (he calls
them twists of nature)
Sadness, joy, laughter,
solitude
He captures all and traces
them on paper
With his hands working
wonders with ink
Day and night he worked
Until one day, his mind
captured her
It was a dream
Her body danced in the rain
Running towards a shade
She wore the most beautiful
adornment he had seen (Oh yeah he was blind)
The most beautiful in his
mind’s world - Her smile
She dazzled in the rain and
he hated himself
For wanting her to remain
there
The shade was too much of a
gloom for such beauty
Her place in the rain spoke
of adventure
And love in the strangest of
places
And now his hand worked for
real
Drawing and painting the
angel in his pavilion
The open space at the market
square
Someone tapped him, no hugged
him
Her smell like the rose –
calm and soothing
‘This is me! How did you do
this? How’s this even possible?
For all he cared, she had
forgotten her arms around him.
He smiled finding solace in
those soft arms
For he loved it so.
