THE 'little' THINGS ARE NECESSARY It's funny how we spend much time and money on big things and neglect the little things, either out of ignorance or sheer carefree attitude. My mum told the story of a Queen who felt she was too rich and had everything at her beck and call. Of course she could afford everything her household needed but she despised others who were beneath her class, including her subjects. One fateful day, the King had an occasion where he invited and was to host the Kings and chiefs of some other lands. He instructed his wife to prepare and all he wanted for the occasion was 'Ugba'(African oil bean so called by the igbos), a rich African dish. This was no big deal for the Queen. She ordered her servants to get everything ready. The ingredients were not lacking in the palace. Cow skin(kponmo), beef, crayfish, assorted...
