My bed calls out to me...

Dear one, come rest your back a little
You are deserving of caress and love
Don't worry, you'll be up in a bit 
And refreshed in no time

My alarm bangs...

It's time boss, time to take charge
Get up and face your dreams
I've been calling you for the last two hours
You keep shutting me up

My mind cries...

I have to do this, it's time to do this
I can't let my dream wander off 
I've got to make it a reality
I need to do this

My body relapses...

Aaahhh, just a little more rest and sleep
We can do this tomorrow 
Don't you see how tired I am from the day
Just a little more won't hurt, zzzzzzzzz

Destiny callllllllssss ouuuttttt!!!

When? When? How much longer? 
Will you take up the mantle that is yours 
And work out your mandate? 
Get up! Arise! The world awaits!
Your Lord and Maker calls you
Manifest! Stop the excuse making
Do this! NOW!

AMAKA LIVED MY DREAM!

Growing up as a child was not much of a fun to me; I mean my parents were strict disciplinarians who would not let me mingle with other children. They also were not always around for me to talk with. So I just carved a place for myself in my own world. There in my world, I was an orator in a big TV station, speaking to a large number of crowds in an accent so clear, flowing and beautiful. As much as I had these dreams, I was too scared they would never come alive. I was too shy and reserved and this was in sharp contrast with the qualities of a communicator, an orator for that matter. I disappointed my dreams too many times; it made me live a life of regrets too early in life. For every promise to live out those dreams and thoughts in my head, I failed. "Ewooo, ewooo, papa Nnamdi, Biko oo. You will kill me today. Chai, Chineke merem ebere(God, have mercy on me)" Mrs Adindu screamed as whips from Mr Adindu's belt made their painful rhythmic moves up and down her succulent light skin.  "It is me that married you and not any other person. I have told you not to expose this body anyhow."
