FLEE!

The mere thought of George being her friend got Nne excited. The blush on her face was so evident as she remembered how they would chatter away into the night before her parents got back from work.

George was her neighbour's brother who lived in the flat opposite theirs. He always came around during breaks from school.
Nne was attracted to him for many reasons including the fact that George was handsome. He was a 300level undergraduate studying Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan. He would tell Nne about school and all the activities on campus. It was always fun being with him. Nne loved to hear all about the university. She would be there sometime in the nearest future. She thought to herself, "he's such a brilliant guy".
                       .................................
Today, George asked Nne to come watch a play he wrote as a seminar which was acted out by  his drama team in the school theatre. Nne was excited. She wanted to see what this handsome and brainy guy that made her laugh so well had done. So,as she knocked on the door of the flat opposite hers that afternoon, she remembered some words from dad this morning.
"This is an exception. It's nothing that serious" she shrugged.
                  .........................................
George was happy to see Nne. His brother had gone to work, so it was just the two of them. George smiled at the thought. He brought some collections and told Nne he wanted her to see a particularly interesting one. All she wanted was to see his work.

It was just first scene, Nne was surprised to see it was an 'American movie',

A woman walked into her room from work and made to pull off her dress.
She takes off her dress and was already taking off her underwear.

Nne got uncomfortable... She turned to look at George, he was staring lustfully at her.

At this point, the woman was going to be naked and Nne jumped up and made for the door. George tried to calm her down, told her it was nothing that bad. He stopped the movie and slot in a music video. Of course it was no gospel song. George was singing all those lustful enticing words  and coming close to her.

Oh no! This time, she fled. Thank goodness, the door was not locked.
She ran into her flat, her heart racing so fast.
She remembered those words again from the family morning devotion earlier today,'

ABSTAIN FROM EVERY APPEARANCE OF EVIL'
Nne cried as she wondered, "what if he had forced me, what if I had lost my guard to the wiles of George and given myself away like some piece of cheap material, what if he drugged me? I would have been a disappointment to me, my family, to God?

                ............................
Don't wait for that temptation to come before you flee. Your legs may have become too stuck in the ground to make a U-turn before you know it!

It is FLEE the temptation(from the very appearance) and not FEEL it!

Don't try to feel it,  don't be caught in web that would hinder, slow down or destroy your destiny!
